The Reef Resort
The Reef is located on the East end of the Grand Cayman island on 1,600 feet of pristine Caribbean beach with snorkeling and diving sites nearby. On site you'll find a bar and restaurant, liquor store, wireless high speed internet access, laundry facilities and exercise room. Ocean Frontiers, located in the lobby, offers diving and snorkeling right from the resort. Other facilities include a spa, and mini-mart/liquor store. The Reef Resort is fronted by a white sand beach which leads out to an amazing snorkel site. The beach has comfortable lounger chairs and there is a beach bar for that beachfront drink. Beautifully landscaped swimming pools and hot tub, complete with fountains, water falls and underwater chairs. One pool is shallow for small children. There is a volley ball court and also the only astroturf tennis court on the island, as well as bocce and croquet games. The water is usually calm and clear and hosts a wide variety of marine life. Common encounters include the large tarpon fish, blue tangs, French grunt, conch, slimy Doris, squid and two types of ray. The reef is very shallow making it very safe for the whole family. Bicycles, Kayaks, Tennis, Racquetball, Lawn bowling and Croquet are available. Snorkel gear can be rented for $10/Day.
Planned Activities: There is something to do for the whole family at The Reef... It starts off with on Sunday with a beach party, followed later in the week by a cocktail party, a free BBQ, a beach BBQ, and a Caribbean Buffet to tantalize and titillate your taste buds. Free dive lessons in the pool, lawn bowling tournament and much more. There are several sightseeing tours planned as well as grocery shuttle available almost daily.
Dining: The main restaurant, Castro's Hideaway, offers exquisite dishes and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Open everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner Castro's Hideaway features special theme nights and outdoor events.
All-inclusive option: The Reef Resort is now offering all-inclusive rates for guests that would like to pay one rate up front and have 3 meals per day, bar and restaurant drinks as well as snorkel gear included during their stay. Rates vary depending on the occupancy of the unit, unit type and dates, but starting with summer season (March 29-December 19, 2008) rates are approximately $200us/person per day for adults and $65us/day for children under 12 years of age. The property consists of a mix of studio, one and two bedroom beach front luxury condominiums. All villas have balconies or patios offering magnificent views of the Caribbean. Each villa is tastefully decorated and contains all the modern day conveniences one would expect at a luxury resort. Spacious, airy and luxuriously appointed the condos epitomize island living at it's best.
The one bedroom units are 900 sq. ft. and have a semi private balcony. The unit has a bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite bath, a kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, blender and coffee maker, plus a living room and dining area. Two pull out single Murphy beds in the living area provide sleeping for a total of 4 people.
The studio units are 450 sq. ft. and have a semi-private balcony. The studio consists of a room with a king size bed, a full bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and a kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker). The studios accommodate a max of 2 people.
Some of the two bedroom units are a studio unit combined with a 1 bedroom unit, offering a large private balcony, combined living and dining area, a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The newest building, Castaway's cove, offers 2 bedroom 2 bath oceanfront units with a slightly different layout (these cannot be split into a studio and 1 bedroom unit).

- The balance of payment is due 45 days prior to arrival.
